How Healing The Darkest Parts of Fragments Opened my Channels to Receiving The New Ancient Practice of Ayatanas Yoga™ | Reclaiming Sacred Sensation
Why I Created Āyatana Yoga for Those Tired of Shrinking Their Joy

I grew up as a highly sensitive, neurodivergent little girl with big dreams—dreams so full of color, softness, and possibility that they scared people who sensed I needed in order to survive – they were indoctrinated and believed in scarcity. And their fear lead them to intimidating and bullying me into letting go of my natural focus. I learned early that my joy was “too much,” that my visions made others uncomfortable. So, I tightened my muscles to fit in, blocked my own energy clogging my meridians in order to belong, and pretended loyalty to a life that was never mine. And you would think after all this twisting and bending oneself into an energetic freeze it would bring a sense of togetherness with those in which you are doing it for. But it doesn’t. It creates a Co-dependent hell. What happens when a soul designed for expansion is forced into a box? It shrinks. It aches. It forgets how to breathe.
For years, I carried inner stress, mental anguish, and physical tension like chains around my spirit. And all the while, my senses—the portals through which life touches us—grew numb.I call this joy deprivation, and many of us know it too well. We’ve been taught that ease is suspicious, that softness is weakness, that pleasure is sinful. We’ve been made to believe that to be worthy, we must suffer, strive, and get in line to take what you can get. And in that belief, we’ve lost our sacred connection to the simplest truth: Life wants to feel good through us.
Without getting too deep into my whole life journey here, you can actually go back and read my blogs from 2012 and see the beginnings of me sharing my journey of how I found trauma healing. After practicing shamanic journeying with myself and with 100’s of souls and their ancestors, whom I belovedly call my clients, and going through a near soul transitioning experience I found gentleness. I found ease, play, and simplicity in my spiritual practice. Rest. Rest has brought me play, and brought me back to life.
Āyatana Yoga is my reclamation of that truth. It’s a sensory-based spiritual practice that invites you to listen, taste, touch, smell, see, and feel Presence again. It’s not about bypassing pain or pretending everything is fine—it’s about giving every sensation space to belong, while becoming receptive to goodness without guilt. And it’s more than that. Āyatana Yoga is also a path of manifestation. Every thought, every emotion, every sensory experience is a seed for what you create. When your senses are awake and aligned, you begin to live the reality you’ve been longing for—not someday, but now. Each session becomes a living prayer: to feel free, to feel abundant, to feel whole.Through breath, sound, movement, and deep awareness, Āyatana Yoga heals the wounds of pleasure deprivation and opens you to the sacredness of now. This practice gives you the opportunity to take time and space to become with grace. You can be as still as you want or be as physically active as you want. Ayatanas Yoga is a flexible practice that meets you with loving openness to your individual becoming whether you practice in a group or on your own.
